From a childhood in Fiji to social media superstardom, Sam Low has fast become one of the most recognisable faces in the contemporary cooking scene in Aotearoa New Zealand since winning MasterChef NZ.

Sam creates recipes with a unique take on nostalgic traditional classics, while adding a new narrative to what it means to cook modern Chinese. His friend, playwright and poet Nathan Joe, will join Sam to discuss what it means to cook ‘modern Chinese’ and explore the relationship between food and being queer.
