Rich and The Poor Boys

Rich and The Poor Boys return to The Boathouse for an evening of electric, rocking Blues. Rich put together his band in March 2023, having met through the Tasman Bay Blues Club where they had performed at the Club’s monthly Blues Jam Nights.

The Poor Boys are all dedicated, talented Blues musicians who have been playing around the Nelson/Tasman region in various bands for many years.( For this gig they are joined on drums by Warren “Wozz” Houston)

Rich is a founding member of Jukejoint with whom he continues to play, but he was keen to form a smaller Blues band which was harmonica-led, playing more in the Chicago Blues style of Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, and Junior Wells, as well as incorporating some original material.
