Kath Bee has been writing songs since her teenage years. It wasn't until her singing teacher advised her to do the then, Contemporary Music Course at the NCMA in the year 2000, that she began to hone her craft. She stumbled into the world of writing songs and performing for children in 2021, which lead her down a path she is still on today.

Having won multiple awards in that arena, she has always written her own 'grown up' songs as well and has been in many groups/bands/duos performing live in and around Nelson. Kath has just started releasing some of her 'grown up' songs under the artist name 'Being Me' and is loving it.

Kath's songwriting workshops are fun, inspiring and quite often off-the-cuff and participant-lead! You will go away with new ideas, tools, the beginnings of a song and at the very least, a smile on your face.
