Fresh Cheese Making

Saturday 31st August 2024

Join Riverside Education for a unique cheese-making workshop led by experienced cheesemakers Verena and Tanja. This hands-on session will showcase the versatility and deliciousness of naturally fermented cheese made at home, using fresh raw milk from our own cows.

During this 2-hour workshop, participants will explore making yogurt, quark, and feta. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to taste fresh dips, quark-based desserts, and baked cheesecake.

Limited to 12 participants. $35 a person. Bookings close Thursday, 29th August at 2pm. Book here: https://www.riverside.org.n...

This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja (at education@riverside.org.nz) for workshop questions or to ask about sponsorship options.

The Ministry of Primary Industries advises the following: ‘Raw milk may contain microorganisms that can cause serious illness. To reduce the risk of illness, raw milk should be heated to at least 70 degree Celsius for one minute. This is critical for infants, young children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.’
