The event is for families of young and old to have a picnic with their teddies. It is a great family friendly event that brings the community together. There will be activities set up for you to do with your teddy.

Patch up your injured teddy at the hospital tent, take teddy to teddy school to learn its ABC.
and eat your picnic with your teddy whilst being entertained by Kath Bee and community performing arts groups. Have your face painted, create some teddy art, find bugs in the park and look at them with a microscope, or listen to Roger Sanders the story teller.
To celebrate 100 years of Nelson City Council there will be cream scones and plenty more.

There will be prizes to be won for oldest teddy, or best dressed teddy and most loved teddy.

We are promoting, ‘bring a family picnic and take home your rubbish’.

There will be umbrellas and small pop up marquees to help keep you and your teddy sun safe.
